Herbal First Aid for the Practicing Herbalist with 7Song–May 25th!

This class will cover a number of common first aid situations along with useful medicinal plants and other approaches.  The goal is for participants to be able to help in a number of first aid circumstances. The course will also cover preparing a practical herbal first aid kit. Some of the health conditions covered will be injuries, allergic reactions, and internal and external infections. There will be a focus on some common useful medicinal plants as well as preparations and ways to administer them.
This class is designed for people with some knowledge of herbal medicine and first aid, though anyone is welcome to join.

7Song is director of the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine in Ithaca, NY. He is also the Director of Holistic Medicine and a clinical practitioner at the Ithaca Free Clinic. He has been practicing herbal first aid at large events for over 20 years and has seen hundreds of patients over this time. He also works at the NDI clinic in Ometepe, Nicaragua. 7Song has an abiding passion in the natural world and can often be found, camera in hand, taking photos of plants, insects, mammals and nearly anything that moves. As an herbalist and teacher, he hopes to inspire others to employ critical thinking in all modalities of health care.
