The heart of our mission is to educate and empower individuals to use traditional remedies as viable options in caring for themselves and their families. In pursuit of this goal, we offer a wide variety of short workshops throughout the year which center around four themes: herb cultivation, medicine-making, self-care for common ailments, and food as medicine. Classes are taught by local herbalists and allied practitioners, as well as by our clinical students.
The schedule is posted three times each year: Spring, Summer, and Fall. We hold few, if any, workshops in December or January, acknowledging the need for rest in the deep of Winter.
If you are interested in offering a workshop, please email us.
Our annual 6-month gardening and medicine-making apprenticeship, Herbs from the Ground Up, will continue to be offered as part of our short course programing for community members. Download the course description and application for more information.
